AP Naming Template Builder Guide

Recommended Flow

Choose the controller type.

Select 9800 or 5520 so the generated rename and reset commands match the controller family.

Load current AP names.

Paste names, import a CSV, or extract names from show ap summary output.

Apply a rename template.

Use one or more # characters where the sequence number should appear.

Edit and generate.

Adjust individual rows, optionally add controller assignments, then generate the final script.

Paste AP Names: enter one current AP name per line.
Show AP Summary: paste controller output and extract AP names into editable rows.
Import CSV: upload a CSV where the first non-empty column contains the current AP name.
Export CSV Template: download a starter file for bulk import.
